“If the world was your canvas…what would you create?”
K’lei loves to create, and loves color. She paints and paints. Most of her art is abstract and she mixes mediums. She likes to paint the feeling of something, and often times just begins with a brush and paint and the painting just becomes. She has exhibited her art all over and always enjoys creating new styles. Most often her art invokes a sense of happiness or joy, but her work is all encompassing. She works on individual works, and projects as well. “I like the freedom in art, as much as I like it in life, the sense of not being able to make a mistake and participating in the process of something becoming, this is freedom explored, the essence of collaboration, energy, idea, feeling and the movement through the artist’s hand.”
There is no real judgment in art, it’s just a mere presence interacting with all, K’lei encourages everyone to see the artist that they are, and to create with total freedom. “One thing with creating art, is the fluidity of expression just merging in that one moment, the unusual, the simple, the complex, the spoken and the unspoken, all at once become seen, then develop a voice in all languages; a unique song that sings to whomever it desires; pure perfection.”-K’lei. She believes her work reflects a freshness, a style to begin anew and beckons the art world to change into a new paradigm of free ease and simplicity.
